An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern and well-equipped small animal clinic in the Dublin region as a Lead Vet.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and clinically strong vet looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role within a progressive and supportive veterinary group.
The clinic offers a welcoming working environment with modern diagnostic equipment, a comfortable reception area, separate dog and cat wards, and ample free parking on-site.
The Role
As Lead Vet, you will play a key role in the clinical and operational success of the practice, combining excellent patient care with leadership and team development responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing the clinical team while promoting a positive and inclusive culture
- Delivering high standards of clinical care and driving clinical best practice
- Supporting and mentoring veterinary colleagues in their clinical development and career progression
- Working closely with the Head Nurse to ensure exceptional patient care across the clinic
- Ensuring compliance with VCI regulations and accreditation standards
- Driving preventative healthcare initiatives and client education
- Leading the delivery of the clinic’s business plan and performance targets
- Monitoring financial performance, KPIs, and clinic profitability
- Supporting operational efficiency and implementation of new initiatives
- Maintaining effective communication within the clinic team and wider business
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- MVB qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in small animal practice
- Previous senior or leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A passion for patient care, client service, and team development
- Commercial awareness and an interest in clinic performance and growth
