Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Dublin Region

Full Time | €65,000 – €75,000 + Bonuses & Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern and well-equipped small animal clinic in the Dublin region as a Lead Vet.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and clinically strong vet looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role within a progressive and supportive veterinary group.

The clinic offers a welcoming working environment with modern diagnostic equipment, a comfortable reception area, separate dog and cat wards, and ample free parking on-site.

The Role

As Lead Vet, you will play a key role in the clinical and operational success of the practice, combining excellent patient care with leadership and team development responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the clinical team while promoting a positive and inclusive culture
  • Delivering high standards of clinical care and driving clinical best practice
  • Supporting and mentoring veterinary colleagues in their clinical development and career progression
  • Working closely with the Head Nurse to ensure exceptional patient care across the clinic
  • Ensuring compliance with VCI regulations and accreditation standards
  • Driving preventative healthcare initiatives and client education
  • Leading the delivery of the clinic’s business plan and performance targets
  • Monitoring financial performance, KPIs, and clinic profitability
  • Supporting operational efficiency and implementation of new initiatives
  • Maintaining effective communication within the clinic team and wider business

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MVB qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in small animal practice
  • Previous senior or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for patient care, client service, and team development
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in clinic performance and growth
