Veterinary Surgeon – Brittas Veterinary Hospital, Thurles, Co. Tipperary 

Full-Time, Permanent | Salary up to €70,000 DOE | Relocation Assistance of €5,000

What You Can Expect in This Role

  • 5 day week (40hours per week)

  • Shift pattern: 8:30-5:30pm

  • 1 night on-call per week

  • 2 weekends in 5 (with lieu time for weekends worked)

  • Diverse, rewarding caseload including routine and advanced procedures

  • Structured rota with protected time for case follow-ups and development

  • Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)

  • Strong clinical skills in first opinion consultations, routine surgeries (e.g. spays) and dental work

  • Confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills

We’ll support you to go further, whether that’s working toward a Certificate, Diploma, or even a PhD – and we’ll fully fund it

About Brittas Veterinary Hospital

We’re a multi-site practice with a primary hospital in Thurles and a branch in Cashel. You’ll work alongside a close-knit team of three experienced Vets (including one with an advanced certificate in medicine), two Veterinary Nurses, and seven dedicated support staff.

Our hospital is equipped with:

  • Dedicated ultrasound and X-ray suites

  • Full in-house laboratory diagnostics

  • Dental facilities

  • Spacious consulting and surgical areas

  • On-site parking and easy access to nearby amenities

We’re proud to offer both first and second opinion services, and we also provide referral services to neighbouring practices. Our caseload is varied and engaging, and we collaborate with local charities through an active neutering scheme.
