Veterinary Surgeon – Maternity Cover (Fixed Term Contract) 

 

Location: Anicare Vets, Clontarf, Dublin 

Salary €50,000 per annum plus benefits 

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week) 

Start Date: September 2025 

Weekends: 1.5 in 6 weekends 

Out of Hours: None 

 

Anicare Veterinary Group, a well established and progressive veterinary network in Dublin, is seeking a confident and skilled Veterinary Surgeon for a Specific Purpose Contract (Maternity Cover) at our busy Clontarf practice.  

 

About the Role: 

This fixed-term position is ideal for a vet with 1-2 years experience, confident in clinical consultations and internal medicine, with basic surgical skills. You will deliver high-quality first opinion care and support our friendly, collaborative clinical team.  

 

Who We’re Looking For:  

  • VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon and available to work from September 2025 
  • 1-2 years experience in small animal practice 
  • Confidence in clinical consultation, internal medicine and detailed case work ups 
  • Basic surgical skills preferred 
  • Professional, client-focused, and team-oriented 
  • Not suitable for new graduates
