Join Our Team as a Consult-Only Veterinary Surgeon – Internal Medicine Focus

Raheny Veterinary Hospital, a trusted pillar of North Dublin veterinary care for over 30 years, is excited to invite an experienced, confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our innovative team in a unique Consult Only position. This role is tailor-made for a clinician with a strong interest or specialty in internal medicine who wants to focus purely on high-quality consultative care.

The Role: Consult Only Veterinary Surgeon

This exciting new role offers you the opportunity to focus exclusively on internal medicine consultations, diagnostic assessments, and detailed treatment planning. You will:
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance on complex cases, collaborating closely with our surgical and emergency teams.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and referring vets.
  • Work without the demands of surgery or out-of-hours/on-call shifts, allowing you to focus on clinical reasoning and patient management.
  • Develop frameworks and protocols to enhance our internal medicine services and elevate clinical standards.
  • Have access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools including ultrasound, advanced imaging, and laboratory services.

Who We’re Looking For

  • VCI registered veterinary surgeon, fully eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate clinical experience, with a focus or interest in internal medicine/diagnostic imaging preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated clinical confidence in managing complex cases.
  • Passionate about developing internal medicine services and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
