The Role
Find a diversity of caseload and experience
Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Full-time, permanent position of 40hours/5 days per week
1 weeknight and 1 in 6 weekends on-call
Salary is up to €80,000 commensurate with experience level
Full funding for any PG certificates / Diplomas /PhD’s you wish to pursue
22 days of Annual Leave plus additional Birthday Leave and 5 days of CPD leave; totaling 28 days or 5.6 weeks (excluding Bank holidays)

What we need from you
VCI/RCVS registered or eligible to register with the VCI
Experience in Small Animal practice is required
Must be competent in routine surgery (e.g. dog spays, lump removals, abdominal surgery)
Be a respectful, professional and courteous individual
Able to work as part of a team but comfortable to take sole charge

Gorey Veterinary Hospital is a mixed practice located in County Wexford. Situated in the sunny southeast, famed for its vibrant markets, local community, coastal beaches and heritage history, Gorey is about 45 minutes from Dublin city. It is accessible by major roadways, train and bus. Our purpose-built hospital has two examination rooms, a dedicated operating theatre and a prep room with a separate large animal examination unit adjacent to the main building. We have on-site radiography, dentistry facilities, ultrasound, hematology and biochemistry machines.
Our phenomenal team is made up of 3 Veterinarian Surgeons, 2 Veterinary Nurses and 4 support staff. We strongly believe in working as a team and supporting each other in our day to day.
