We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our wonderful team of vets, nurses and support staff. We are happy to consider new graduates and experienced veterinary surgeons.
We have 3 practices in the city and have the unique luxury of being independently owned and run while having access and benefits of a large corporate. This gives each surgery a bit of extra support as we are able to help each other out when needed.

The Location:
Norwich is a lovely city to live and work in with what we think of is the right mixture of city and countryside. We are 30 mins from the beach, 15 mins from the broads yet only 5 minutes drive away from the city centre. In Norwich City centre we have an amazing array of shops for those that enjoy their retail therapy. We also have a wonderful cathedral and some beautiful architecture that you really should visit if you can.
The Practice & The Team:
We have a supportive, experienced team and across the Norwich group with certificate holders in surgery and ophthalmology and four other vets currently studying for certificates. We have a brand-new ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp, multi parameter units for both theatres and full in-house lab.
We have a strong, supportive nursing team that are experienced in taking xrays, bloods and placing patients on fluids. They are also responsible for billing of all the vets surgical and medical day patients.
Both practices are very busy small animal first opinion practices.
We very rarely have to stay late for emergency procedures and we do not do Out Of Hours meaning we are able to relax and switch off in the evenings after we finish our shifts.
Our Partners have a love of orthopaedics and surgery and regularly do Cruciate and Patella repairs along with fracture fixations.
We have 4 consulting rooms, a theatre, prep room, imaging room, dog and cat wards, isolation and lovely new reception area with separate cat and dog waiting areas. We are currently looking at extending at least one of our surgeries to include additional consult rooms, theatre, dental suit and a CT scanner.
We have a varied caseload with the ability to work up cases in house .
We have clinical freedom to choose the medications that we best think suit the patient’s needs.
We are always looking to improve our standards with regular clinical meetings, journal club and CPD. We are always striving to improve our work life balance and the mental health of our team.
Appointments are 20-30 minutes in length with an hours admin time each consult day to allow time for call backs/lab reports etc.

- A full or part time veterinary surgeon. We are flexible with the hours, will consider shorter hours/day etc Positive team player. Organised and structured and ability to manage time well Great communication skills. Passionate and the willingness to provide excellent patient and client care. Full time position a 4-day week (9am-7pm with an hour’s lunch) and a set day off each week but we are happy to discuss part time options. 1:4 weekends (Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm) No Out of Hours
