Medivet Referral Clinic Veterinary Surgeon UK Roles

We currently have some fantastic roles that would be suitable for Advanced Practicioners, Certificate Holders or Diplomats/Specialists looking to work in a UK referral clinic:

Referrals Godstone (The Veterinary Referrals Centre)
– Specialist / Residency Trained / Advanced Practitioner (with Referral Experience) Veterinary
Surgeon
– Disciplines considered: Orthopaedics, Soft tissue surgery, Neurology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Feline Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology
– Branch Partnership available
– Salary range £100-130k per annum depending on experience
– Specialist CPD 5 days / £5k plus additional days/spend for lecturing promoting Medivet- Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders standard CPD currently
– MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Lab, radio-active iodine unit, endoscopy, high quality theatre and
hospitalisation facilities
– Will have night nursing team if required
– Immediate start available, 4/5 day working week
– Weekend/evening on call for emergencies only – fair share, often only advice to nursing team
– Visiting cardiologist and dermatologist

This Veterinary Referral Centre is located in Godstone, Surrey

Orthopaedics Brighouse (Torrington’s Orthopaedics)
– Specialist / Residency Trained / Advanced Practitioner (with Referral Experience) Veterinary
Surgeon
– Orthopaedic and/or neurology specific, working with team of certificate holders and Advanced
Practitioners accepting orthopaedic and neurology referrals
– Must be competent and confident to independently perform the following surgeries (neurologist
only the first procedure):Spinal surgery, Complex fracture repair, TPLO/TTA cruciate repairs, Luxating patella surgery, Ideally but not essentially arthroscopy of joints
– Branch Partnership available
– Salary range £100-130k per annum depending on experience
– Specialist CPD 5 days / £5k plus additional days/spend for lecturing promoting Medivet- Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders standard CPD currently
– CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Lab, high quality theatres and hospitalisation facilities
– MRI visits regularly (mobile lorry unit)
– Night nursing in position
– Start in 2024 (ideally by March), 4/5 day working week
– Weekend/evening on call for emergencies only – fair share, often only advice to nursing team

This Veterinary Referral Centre is located in Torrington, West Yorkshire

Crewe Hall (Physio-Vet)
– Veterinary surgeon, could suit recent graduate or equally someone with certificates / AVP /
specialist status
– Need an interest in Sports Medicine (agility, flyball, IPO etc.) working alongside David Prydie,
experienced certificate holder
– Looking for someone who is interested in expanding their knowledge of lameness work-ups
and treatment – Training and development provided if needed
– Fabulous, spacious and light clinic in rural setting but only 5 minutes from M6.
– CT and high-definition DR on site plus a full operating suite as well as under water treadmill,
lasers, shockwave etc.
– Referral practice dealing with lameness and neurological conditions.
– New take on consult is 1 hour. Follow-up consults are 30 minutes.
– Salary range £45-130k depending on experience
– Immediate start available, 4 day working week, no weekends/on call currently but could
change in future as business develops
– Branch Partnership available
– Clinic has visiting orthopaedic surgeon but if an orthopaedic surgeon wished to join we strongly
would consider this

Crewe Hall (Physio-Vet) is located in Cheshire (45 kms from Manchester and Liverpool)

Mobile Specialist Vet Role Medivet Crewe Hall (Physio-Vet) and Medivet Referrals Sale (Dogwood Referrals)
– Provide specialist vet services at Medivet Crewe Hall (Physio-Vet) and Medivet Referrals Sale
(Dogwood Referrals). Practices located within 40 minutes from eachother. Ideally for someone living in Cheshire
– Both clinics well equipped with dedicated consulting and operating spaces for these
disciplines, plus CT (and MRI at Dogwood Referrals). Not currently any night nursing however
could use our network of 24 hour centres for this care if required.
– Ideally vet will be specialist or residency trained, or an experienced advanced practitioner
– Preferred disciplines (others considered) due to lack of overnight care at these clinics: Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Behaviour, Cardiology.
– Salary £100-130k depending on experience, remuneration for travel/Medivet van also
– Immediate start available, 4/5 days a week, no on call or weekends currently but could change
as business develops
– Specialist CPD 5 days / £5k plus additional days/spend for lecturing promoting Medivet – Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders standard CPD currently
– Flexibility to plan own diary / locations each week depending on workload
– Expectation to create and nurture referring vet client base
– Potential for fixed site role in future depending on success of venture
